Dear CALA Members!
I hope that you are all enjoying a wonderful Mothers’ Day today with your families.
I wanted to provide the menu for this week’s meeting:
For our May 17th, lunch buffet the Hyatt will be serving the following:
Soup: Portobello and Brie Soup
Salad: Spinach Salad with Marinated Artichoke, Red Onions, Almonds & Dried Cranberries with Raspberry Vinaigrette and Balsamic Vinaigrette (Dressing on the side)
Sandwich: Italian Wrap with Roasted Turkey Breast, Smoked Ham, Pepperoni, Provolone Cheese, Basil Pesto, and Tomato Pesto in a Flour Tortilla.
Chips, Pickles and Sugar Cookies will also be available for simultaneous consumption : )
We are looking forward to seeing you there! (we seem to always end up with extra food so I highly recommend bringing a to-go container that would fit in your purse…..)

5/28/2017 Update: The University of South Carolina will not be moving forward with the below offering.
The University of South Carolina will soon expand the availability of its Paralegal Studies Certificate Program to the Charleston area with courses offered at the Lowcountry Graduate Center. Read more about the expansion Click Here.
In November of 2015 the Supreme Court established the South Carolina Board of Paralegal Certification to assist in the delivery of legal services to the public by identifying individuals who are qualified by education, training and experience and who have demonstrated knowledge, skill and proficiency to perform substantive legal work under the direction and supervision of a South Carolina lawyer. December 8th, 2016 Annual CALA Holiday Party!
Please join us for our CALA Holiday Party this year! We will be holding it at the Upstairs at Midtown Bar & Grill located at 559 King St., Charleston, SC 29403. The U.S. Marine Corp. has again gratefully agreed to attend to help in our support for Toys for Tots ; a cause that is very dear to our hearts.
If you are able, please bring one or more unwrapped toys as we will be collecting them on behalf of Toys for Tots. In exchange for your donations, CALA will provide you extra raffle tickets to be used towards all the amazing door prizes that our board members have been hard at work collecting for this cause.
We hope to see you there. We will have great food, great refreshments and most importantly, great people for a great cause.
